To be a Member you need to have a virtual audit conducted by GFASA and a full on-site audit by SAMIC.

PROCEDURES TO BECOME A PRODUCER MEMBER
- Apply with GFASA to become a Producer Member
- Pay your Membership Fee and Virtual Audit Fee
- GFASA will conduct a Virtual Audit
- Pay your SAMIC audit fee
- SAMIC will then conduct an on farm audit

Virtual Audit Fee R 300
PRODUCER AUDIT – SAMIC AUDITS
Farms: per annum R 2 500 + travel
Abattoirs: 2x per annum R 3 500
Deboning Plants: 2x per annum R 3 500
Butcheries: All 2x per annum R 1 300
Restaurants: All 2x per annum R 1300
Travel: R 7.05 per km
